Daniel offers a pattern for intercessory prayer. Agree with him in prayer as he bears the lives of those who are not praying, those still caught up in infidelity to the Lord in one form or another.
As a grace given by the Lord, intercessory prayer takes the laser beam of your own devotion and sends its ray into the circumstances and lives of those who need God’s grace to implode in their lives.
Daniel begins with praise. This awakens a desire for God inside the heart. Next confession comes. Daniel takes on the sin of the people, as Jesus did on the cross. He “Who knew no sin [became] sin for us” (2 Cor. 5:21). Finally, there is supplication in the plea on behalf of all on the part of one.
Is there someone’s burden the Lord is placing on your heart?
