Michelangelo Buonarroti 1475-1564 – The Prophet Daniel
Fresco – 1508-1512 Sistine Chapel, Vatican City
Monday, November 5, 2012
Enter yet more deeply into the vision that God offers Daniel. The prophet is shown the counterpart in the spiritual realm of the forces of nations pitted against one another. Earthly struggles reflect warfare in the heavenlies, as described also in Ephesians 6:11-12. God decides the one to receive such visions; the prophet must be a person transparent to the Lord whose life and commitment to God are unwavering.
Know that the struggles you experience in life, as well as the international conflicts that take place, have their origin in spiritual domains. Angels and demons are real. If we were to see what is happening in its totality, we would be overwhelmed, just as Daniel was.
The Lord is in charge. Give God have total sway of your life. Jesus has won the victory!
