Ruth 4

A Blessed Christmas to you!

The story of Ruth is complete. In Bethlehem, she bears Obed who becomes the grandfather of David. On or about these days, we celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus, Son of David—also born in Bethlehem.

Consider the loving care of the Lord quietly to build the house of David over long centuries. God takes the forgotten, the left out, those on the edge, and makes them the center.

It is love that moves you to the center of life. Right now, place yourself in God’s center, not far away at the brink of life without God. Wait upon the Lord, praying in this way: “Lord, where would you have me go today? Whom do you want to reach through me? Remind me, lest I be among those who ignore your preferences, because I cling to mine. Amen”
