1 Timothy 5—6
Unique circumstances in Paul’s society are contained here; still you will find what is relevant to our own day. There are similarities with the plight of widows and single parent mothers today.
Look for the Godly principles present that are universal. These are the touchstones to use when it comes to consider what to do for others and to maintain yourself in correct thinking and acting. Idleness erodes the boundaries between our lives and those of others, tempting us to mind what is not our business.
As the weeks of summer pass before your life and you are on vacation, find activities that truly renew your spirit. Paul is on the move. Take him with you in your travels. Respond wholeheartedly to his exhortations that close the letter.
