Jericho is taken, not by worldly strategies, but in the Lord’s unique way. It is time for what is “Jericho” in you to fall. Do some walking today in silence. Do not talk. It is Advent. Wait upon the Lord. Allow God to tell you when to make a move with your mouth. The decisive moment will come when God prompts you to speak or shout, breaking in upon any lying spirit that may lurk within your heart behind walls that need to fall. Like the shout when a karate chop breaks wood, let the Spirit break open the stuck and stubborn stuff in your spirit.

The Israelites hoarded enemy treasures intended only for the Lord. They were powerless before their enemies until they repented and released these treasures. Is there anything that you are clinging to or hoarding that belongs to the Lord?

  1. I am very grateful, Bosco, for your review of this work and for placing it in your “Virtual Chapel.”

The resources that were found at will now be in this blog.

I welcome the ways in which the Spirit will be igniting many to share experiences and insights as we encourage one another on this sacred journey.

  2. The reading for today and the promptings of the Lord for Joshua and God’s people to shout at God’s moment, reminds me of something similar.

As I was putting up our Christmas lights, I became aware of how for me, Bible Breaths are like the hooks that hang the string of lights. A Word from the Lord touches and seeks to uplift my consciousness which might be drifting downward from the spiritual place to which the Lord calls me. With this touch of the heart, my mouth will hopefully be more inclined to speak words of kindness and love.

Kindness will tend to have the walls between us crumble.

  3. I see the walls of the churches crumbling – churches that separate us – leaving us in a wide open space… a space where we can share more, but where evil gets to roam free – makes our job much more challenging, even as we rejoice in the new-found space that joins us together.
