The first three Tuesdays in Easter find us penetrating truth through the Book of Proverbs. The Holy Spirit as always is our teacher. Each one of the four seasons over the three-year cycle has a few chapters from this book to “season” our lives with the wisdom of the Spirit.

“On the one hand…on the other hand…” this expression uses the physical weighing of two open palms to consider contrasting points. This book of peace expresses proverbs in a similar manner. Receive each side of these wise sayings, as though you weigh each half of the truths in your hands, until the wisdom that feeds the proverbs centers you. Pause at special proverbs such the one in verse 10. The one that winks and looks the other way at evil is the one who causes trouble!
