Energy in batteries flows from the positive to the negative poles. These one-line proverbs are like that. There is a negative and positive pole to each one as the trust and wisdom that God wants to teach us pass through. It is the contrast between the two poles that makes wisdom flow like electricity. Wisdom is electric!
There are twenty-eight wise sayings in this chapter. Take a few at a time, being aware of how the energy in them flows into you like an electrical current. These feelings inside you are signs of God speaking to you about special things you need to learn. Make a note of which ones they are so that you will remember them. How about writing these points of wisdom using your own words?
Here are a few “Bible Breaths” that will help you take in the Breath of God. Three syllables as you breathe in, three as you breathe out, the final syllable, for rest. Forgiveness fosters friendship. v. 9 Quarrels stop before they start. v. 14 Cheerful heart—good medicine v. 22
