A Kite of Praises

Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,
your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones.

Psalm 89:5

Here are verses of praise and wonder at our God. The majesty and power of God are lifted verse after verse. Each one is meant to carry us upward in worship of God, like a kite that catches fresh wind and soars ever higher. Can I make a pun? …Worsh-up!

The sacred writer is completing the purpose of the creation of all of us—to praise, reverence and serve our God. Join with creation and with all those praying this psalm with you today. In your heart, be part of a whole community without walls that is praising God today. I suggest that you keep your Bible near you so that you can take a verse or two of this psalm and pray it many different times of the day. Then your whole day will be filled with those fresh bursts of wind that will keep you life, like a kite, soaring very high!
