Ever find yourself daydreaming about the past? That’s what Isaiah is doing as he thinks about the history of God’s people and what God did for them. He finds that he needs God’s saving grace…and he doesn’t seem to be finding it at that moment. So in a series of questions he asks God, “You were so present bringing salvation to our ancestors…Where are you now?”
Is there a need you have for God that you feel God is not answering? Talk to God about this. God is faithful and God’s love never fails. As you read these verses, remind yourself about this; we need to be reminded more than God needs reminding!
