When you hold a precious gem in your hand, you admire it, feel its shape, watching the colors dance in the light. You are so aware of how very special such a stone is.
Each proverb is like a precious jewel, intended to be held in your hand and in your heart, admired for its wisdom—more precious than gold or silver. In this reading, you have twenty-three of these jewels. Look at each one carefully, just as you would take a precious jewel into the palm of your hand. There are some that will really touch your heart; stay longer with these. Lift your eyes to heaven and let the Spirit teach you about what you need to learn about yourself and about God.
