Holy and Wholly the Lord’s

We learn about the tradition of “tithing,” giving a tenth of one’s possessions to the Lord.   This makes the gift holy to the Lord.   Something or someone is holy when it is set apart and dedicated to God to be done with as God wants.
When we follow Jesus, we don’t dedicate a tenth of ourselves, but our whole self!  You are dedicated to God.  Think about what this means as you imagine your future.

Only God is holy. However, you become holy and wholly the Lord’s when the “piece of land” that you live on is the Holy Body of Christ.

Leviticus 27:30-33

These Firestarters are from a new edition of The Bible Through the Seasons being developed for families with children. For the Firestarters in the original edition, I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or table! Check the menu options at the site for more information.
