An Alphabet Prayer

What would it be like for you to take all the letters of the alphabet from A to Z and write a prayer-sentence for each one?  Here’s the idea: take the letter “A” and begin a prayer with a word beginning with that letter.  Then go to “B,” “C,” and so on.  You would finish up with twenty-six brief prayer-sentences, one for each letter of the alphabet.

The writer of today’s psalm did just that with the Hebrew Alphabet of twenty-four letters.  It was a fun way for him to get his thoughts together and feel the movement of his whole prayer from beginning to end…from A to Z.

Let’s be as creative in our prayer as the writer of today’s psalm was in his prayer!
