The Joy of Worship

David was not only a leader of armies, but as the king, he was responsible to see that worship was done with reverence and celebration.  Chapters 25 and 26 are lists of those who served as musicians and doorkeepers for the times of worship.  In our day, we have choirs and ushers to take care of these tasks.

1 Chronicles has a great emphasis upon worship.  It is the most important action that we do—to gather with God’s people, sing, listen and love one another at worship.  We leave with the joy of wanting to serve others.

Your goodness, love and talents, shared with your community, will help make the worship services such more more filled with joy.  Your presence is so important!
