Our Life with God

Here’s a story about a man who figured out a cool plan to get himself out of trouble.  Jesus uses him as an example of what people go through when tough situations come up. Yet when it comes to one’s life with God both now and in heaven, so often people don’t care about that.

The purpose of our being born is to be expressions of God’s love and caring.  If we don’t do this, then God’s work doesn’t get done.  Don’t you want to be sure that you are a devoted disciple of Jesus? It’s not really a job; but if we don’t do this in our lives, it doesn’t make any real difference what other job we have.

On Sundays we follow the Gospels from the Revised Common Lectionary.

These Firestarters are from a new edition of The Bible Through the Seasons being developed for families with children. For the Firestarters in the original edition, I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or table! Check the menu options at the site for more information.
