Say Yes and Mean It.

God shows much favor to King Asa because he is faithful to God.  He seeks God in all the attacks coming against the southern kingdom of Judah.  God also uses another person, Azariah, and rushes upon him with the Spirit.  There are wonderful lines of encouragement and faith that you’ll want to remember.

Look what happens in chapter 16.  What does Asa do that makes him lose favor with God?

In and out of being good and bad: this is the story of so much of the Bible.  When we say yes to God, we need to mean it—one day at a time—one hour at a time.
