Use your imagination in verse 2 of today’s reading: “I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” Feel the joy, the love and the beauty of St. John’s vision. It’s similar to the vision that Jacob had in our Saturday reading a few weeks ago, when Jacob saw a ladder connecting heaven and earth.
As you pray, let St. John’s vision joining heaven and earth connect you with heaven right now. Whenever we love, we are connected to heaven.
