

Have you ever noticed that some humorous stories have a pattern to them? There is often a repetition of an event that builds up suspense. Suddenly, the punch-line comes and laughter breaks out.
Something like this happens in today’s story of the fall off Jericho. Read it with suspense…Notice the silence of almost a week…then the power of the shout. Can you imagine what it must have been like for the people inside Jericho, aware that God’s army is encircling them in silence for six whole days?
This is a wonderful story about trusting in God, not only in doing what the Lord says, but doing it when the Lord says it!
