

Here is an intriguing story of lying on the one hand, and keeping promises made to God on the other. The people of Gibeon told a lie as a quick solution to deal with their fear of God’s people.
As you read it, think about this: are there times when you were frightened and took to lying to make sure that you weren’t found out? Instead of lying and trying to figure out what to do in frightening situations all by yourself, just step back…Ask the Lord to be your guide as we’ve seen this week.
