Time and time again, Pharaoh says that the people may leave and then he keeps changing his mind. Disaster after disaster happens as a result of him being so stubborn.
The verse for today is interesting: “The Lord made Pharaoh stubborn!” The history writers of the Exodus were so convinced that God was with them at every step along the way, that even when the steps to freedom were stopped by the wicked king of Egypt, God was somehow involved.
God is in everything that happens, bringing good out of difficult or even evil situations. Now that is real faith! Let’s pray to God that we have faith like that.
