God’s Love Stronger than God’s Hurt

How much God is open to forgive!   If you glance over chapters 15 and 16 of Ezekiel, you will see that God’s people have been like a very unfaithful wife.  Since God loves us with the fullness of life, God’s love is like a happy and joyous husband who loves his wife very much.  Like any husband who would have an unfaithful wife, God too is hurt and angry.

In the final three verses, our reading for the day, the love of God is stronger than God’s hurt and anger.  Once again, God opens his arms in love for God’s people.

Just as we will read tomorrow in the reading from the Song of Songs, “Love is stronger than death.”  It is stronger than whatever sins we may have committed.   May this wonderful fact bring you much joy and peace.
