The Fire of the Holy Spirit

You’re about to read one of the most powerful chapters in the whole Bible.  We are right at the heart of Paul’s deepest thoughts about what it means to live a life in the Spirit.

This chapter is the center of the letter to the Roman.  It comes in the middle of this season dedicated to the Holy Spirit.  It is the Firestarter that has Paul burn on and on with his love for the Spirit.  Pray that the same Spirit that burned in Paul will burn in you.   Ask the Lord to help you understand the powerful verses of this chapter.

You may find it helpful to take the four quarter parts of the day, devoting these four parts of the chapter to each one: verses 1-8, 9-17, 18-30, 31-39.  Your day will be blessed!

Visit STUDY THIS on the upper right side of any passage from BibleGateway.
I especially recommend the free resource in Matthew Henry’s Commentary.

Thursdays are dedicated to the letters of Paul, other letters,
the Book of Acts, and the Book of Revelation.

These Firestarters are from a new edition of The Bible Through the Seasons being developed for families with children. For the Firestarters in the original edition, I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or table! Check the menu options at the site for more information.
