Animal Teachers

Just like the cows in the story of the return of the Ark of the Covenant Tuesday’s reading from 1 Samuel, God uses a donkey to show Balaam the right path to follow. The donkey knows better than Balaam, preventing him from going down the wrong road. God uses the donkey to stop the evil plans of Balak, king of the Moabites.

Our Havanese dog Bongo has a special gift of sensing fear; he barks to warn us, though sometimes he’s just a bit too afraid of noises, for he barks a lot!   Do you have a pet in your house or some other animal that God is sending your way to teach you about being on the right path leading you closer to God?
