Isaiah is finished from the harsh prophecies against evil nations. He must have felt great relief when God calls him now to share the ultimate joy of God’s saving grace. With a heart as light and filled with joy as David’s, Isaiah pours out this chapter of personal expression.
Take your cue from Isaiah and allow him to be a “Firestarter” for your own moment of prayer. Take time to stop what your doing, and imagine the love of the Holy Spirit welling up from within your heart. Take in the Holy Spirit when you inhale; surrender to the Spirit with joy as you exhale. Today and every day’s Bible Breaths will help you to catch the essence of each day’s reading by shaping these seven-syllable prayers from key verses from the daily reading.
