In Tune with God

I had made up my mind not to think about anything
while I was with you except Jesus Christ,
and to preach him as crucified.
1 Corinthians 2:2

Here’s a cool trick for you, if you happen to have a guitar or a piano. Push down the damper pedal on the piano and sing a tone into it, or just sing the tone of one of the strings into the body of a guitar. The sound of the note will echo on without you ever touching a note or pressing a string. This is because the note you sing sets the string in vibration because they are in sync. Here’s what is sounds like with my guitar…[Sound echoes.]

The Holy Spirit sings beautiful music into our hearts and brings joy and wisdom to share with us. If your heart is tuned in, then what God says will sound forth from you! In verse 2, Paul tells us to focus only on Jesus Christ and how his death on the cross brought life to us. Tune into God’s Spirit breathing and sounding in you, you’ll not only be happy, but God can speak through you.
