How Will You Decide?

Then he will answer, ‘I assure you that when you haven’t done it for one of the least of these, you haven’t done it for me.’
Matthew 25:45

Today we’re reading three stories.  To get the feel of them, picture a very large room that has great pictures called “murals” on them.  The first picture is of ten bridesmaids, five with oil for their lamps, five without.  The story is about what happened to them.  Another wall has three persons who have received valuable coins—one, five of them, another three and another one.  It’s easy to understand what Jesus means here.  In fact, our word “talents” comes from the name of the valuable coins in the original language of the New Testament, which is Greek. The final wall describes situations of persons in great need—some very poor, some quite sick and others in prison.  You’ll read about decisions that people made when they saw these needs.

All three stories are all about making decisions.  Read them slowly.  Do the stories make you think about your own life in some way?  Think…feel….talk with your family.  How will you decide?
