What a call God gave to Ezekiel! The prophet couldn’t find anyone to listen to his words and turn from their bad ways. Theses verses describe how wrong things went during the time of Ezekiel, six hundred years before Jesus was born.
Verse thirty is a very important one. It tells of the need for someone to stand in a gap in the wall to protect the people inside from the enemy outside.
Prayer is like filling in the gap, for it calls upon God’s Holy Spirit to protect others from what might be coming against them—sickness, fears and other attacks. Prayer is a powerful way to stand in the gap for others. Who in your life is especially in need of prayer? Love them as you pray. Love fills up the gaps in the lives of others!
