A desperate, broken, exiled people are about to have the power of God revealed to them through Ezekiel. First, however, a dazzling vision envelopes the prophet.
As you read, believe that this same God of might wants to reveal the divine presence to you. The Lord embraces you with the Word, coming to you from four directions, as imaged in the prophet’s vision. Receive in faith. Be prepared to respond.
Is there anything of a rebellious spirit in you as described of Israel? Unbelief in the Lord’s sovereignty in your life is rebellion. Repent. Allow the Lord to intervene in your life. Resist the mental wrestling that may be going on within, as though you alone have the power to make the changes that need to take place in yours and others’ lives. Eat. Commune with God.
