Praise Focus

The Lord acts to bring justice and victory to those who trust in him. (Chapter 22 and Psalm 18 are identical.) Pray this song of David over his whole life and receive the same joy in God’s protection for yourself. This can only happen when you humble yourself and look only to the Lord as your protector. Jesus saves you from all your enemies of whatever kind. Praise him. Focus on him. The Lord brings triumph and victory over all that besets you.

This song is a prayer-lift in the presence of chapters of tragic history. David’s prayer will uplift you. Mull over the images; make them yours.

No one can take away your peace unless you let him or her do it. Do you let this happen at times because there is something wanting in your focus of praise?

2 Samuel 22—24
