In a flash of awareness, we scan from the birth of Jesus to the Ascension, celebrated six months from now. Jesus first allowed himself to experience the chaos of sin in all its fury on the cross; he becomes the risen and ascended One who reigns in love above all kingdoms, nations and any other system that sets itself against God.
The victory has been won against any godless kingdom that comes against you such as past generational sin in your family that tends to continue to have its effect upon you and yours. The victory of Jesus confronts all that attacks you. May the Holy Spirit give you that sense of free, joyous laughter, as though you say with the power of God: “Nice try, Evil!”
