A Leader in Your Own Way

Just as Moses prepared Joshua for leading God’s people into the Promised Land, so does Paul instruct Titus as a leader of the Church on the Island of Crete. As in the First Letter to Timothy, here are the qualities needed for a leader in the church. Similar to the contrasts in Psalm 1 are the contrasts between good and evil leaders.

God calls you to take a special place of leadership for God’s People. Beyond administrative leadership associated with the office of bishop, gifts and graces are given to you to be a leader in your own way. Meditate on the list of virtues required for spiritual leaders. What are the areas where you need to grow?

Be a steward of God and the things of God. May your daily contact with the Word steadily purify you and clarify the sacred call God has placed upon your life.

    • Thanks for your comment, Erin.
And I enjoyed your post on the effect of ripe fruit on others in the bowl.

Thank you for following this Bible plan. It is a pleasure to welcome you to the daily readings and I look forward to further interactions with you.
