God as an Envelope

When we receive a greeting card, it often has an envelope with lovely colors and paper.  Even before we open it, we know that it is going to be special.

The writer of this psalm feels as though God is around him like an envelope.  He is very aware of God’s protection and power.  Even when surrounded by troubles he feels God’s presence enveloping him even more tightly.

God as an envelope…think about it!

Psalm 138

Wednesdays are devoted to the reading of the Psalms,
one a week across the three-year cycle.

These Firestarters are from a new edition of The Bible Through the Seasons being developed for families with children. For the Firestarters in the original edition, I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or table! Check the menu options at the site for more information.
