Explosion of Bread

The Baptist is beheaded—time out for Jesus and the disciples. The seeking crowds find and press about Him. Forgetful of food, they hang on every word from his mouth, rejoicing in his healing presence. The multiplying loaves and fish only increase the crowd’s intensity; but it is the wrong kind. Jesus abruptly dismisses them, sends the disciples onto the storm-tossed sea, and seeks the solitude that soaks his soul in the presence of the Father. Back to the disciples in the middle of the night, walking on water … No barriers of time or place keep Jesus long away from those he has chosen.

Feel all the shifts and movements of the latter half of this chapter. Roll with the waves on the sea as you walk on the waters of your life toward Jesus.

Fridays are dedicated to the Gospels. This year, we generally read
from the Gospel of Mark, this season, chapters 4 to 9.

For the next several weeks, the Firestarters will be from the original version of this program. For these Firestarters I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or tablet.
