Coach Paul

There’s a theme running through this week’s reading: wise and loving persons are talking with us giving us great tips about how to find joy in life and how to help others to be happy in the Lord.  St. Paul is like a loving coach to his young disciple, Timothy. Paul is so personal with Timothy that it flows over into us.

So place yourself right next to Timothy and let Paul give you these instructions about how to be a faithful follower of Jesus. If you were to think about serving the Lord as though you were learning how to be great in a game of sports, then Coach Paul is the one for you!

2 Timothy 2:10-26

Thursdays are dedicated to the letters of Paul, other letters,
the Book of Acts, and the Book of Revelation.

These Firestarters are from a new edition of The Bible Through the Seasons being developed for families with children. For the Firestarters in the original edition, I recommend the ebook.  You will have the entire program of well over a thousand of these introductions with you on your phone or table! Check the menu options at the site for more information.
