Wisdom in the Word and Heart

We have here twenty-eight “firestarters” in one chapter of Proverbs. As the positive and negative poles of a battery that allow electric energy to flow, so is there a flow of wisdom as the negative fool contrasts with the positive, wise person. Read slowly. You might take two proverbs each hour of the waking part of your day. Sift, savor, and simmer these truths until they softly sink into your soul, calling you to right living and holy thinking. Clear a few minutes of time to read and reflect as each hour comes round. The wisdom in the Word will become wisdom in the heart.

A suggestion … Allow God’s graces to well up in your heart by writing the wisdom the Lord gives to you, as God did to Solomon. Jot them on post-it notes so that they will be right in front you.
